Guy of Gisborne

I wandered over to the BBC web site to half-inch this photograph (I hope that's adequate acknowledgement). Now I can't remember the name of this guy and I certainly haven't watched anything else he's appeared in ... but he isn't bald and he isn't called Keith Allen ... and I think he's rather yummy.
And better yet we had someone turn up at work today who looked so rather like him I just had to hover and enjoy the view for a while.

Oops! Keith Allen must be playing the Sherrif of Nottingham then - he was on some TV programme or other talking about his role in Robin Hood and I wasn't paying full attention. As lust objects go, this chap does look more suitable (although he doesn't float my boat) - fill your boots! Hmm, two cliches that on reflection are probably derived from male erection/ejaculation imagery...not quite what I had in mind.

Hmmn ... it isn't lust Keith Allen's Nicholsonesque scenery chomping turn inspires in me... giggle

You are referring to the love of my life... Richard Armitage. I preordered the DVDs of the new BBC production of Robin Hood specifically because Richard is in it. It will take a while for them to make it across the pond... but I am making do until then by watching clips of some of his scenes in Robin Hood that some wonderful fans are making available to those of us having to wait.

If you have not seen Richard in anything else... do see the 2004 BBC production of "North and South". He plays Milton mill owner, John Thornton. I thought no one would ever surpass Colin Firth's Mr. Darcy as my BBC Hearthrob... but Richard's portrail of John Thornton was just the ultimate depiction of a brooding, strong, understated man holding fast to unrequited love.

Richard has also been in Cold Feet, Between the Sheets, Sparkhouse, Malice Aforethought, Lynley Mystery: In Divine Porportion, Frozen, Ultimate Force, and will be the upcomming groom to Geraldine Granger in the X'mas episode of "The Vicar of Dibley".

Sorry to go on and on... but Richard is just the best!!!
